Beth El

Beth El is Panama City's principal Ashkenazi synagogue, serving as the spiritual home for the Ashkenazi community since the 1950s. The congregation relocated to its current modern facility in Paitilla in 2014, offering daily services, educational programs, and community events.

History

Founded in 1955 by Ashkenazi immigrants who settled in Panama, Beth El originally operated from a building in Bella Vista. As the Jewish community shifted eastward, the congregation moved to a purpose-built facility on Calle Winston Churchill in Paitilla in 2014. Today it serves as the central hub for Ashkenazi Jewish life in Panama, hosting religious services, lifecycle events, and educational programming.
