Whale Watching

Humpback whale encounters off Panama's Pacific coast

Every year from July through October, humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to the warm waters off Panama's Pacific coast to breed and nurse their calves. Watching a 40-ton whale breach just meters from your boat — or seeing a mother and calf swimming together — is one of those experiences that stays with you.

The whale watching boats depart from the Amador Causeway area and head toward the Pearl Islands and surrounding Pacific waters. The trip takes a full day, with about 90 minutes of boat transit each way and several hours on the water searching for and observing the whales. Sightings are never guaranteed, but during peak season (August–September) they're very common.

Your group sails with an experienced whale watching crew plus a dedicated Go Beyond guide who handles kosher food, coordinates around Shabbat timing, and makes sure the day runs smoothly. It's the full whale watching experience without compromising on the details that matter to you.
